Knife Fight

He finally retrieved the knife and swung me around to put the knife to my throat. This man took me to the area where he was hiding prior to this particular part of the story.

As we walked toward the area of the bakery with the knife to my throat the thoughts running through my head were things like; what is he planning on doing next? I started thinking about what was in that area, things to protect myself and there was nothing, not even cleaners, not even a lock on the bathroom door. That is if he was even taking me into the bathroom.

I didn’t know if he was going to rape or murder me. He ended up telling me to stay in the bathroom and do not come out. The light in the bathroom remained on and the fan was super loud I couldn’t hear much.

Patiently I sat on the toilet waiting for what is to come next. I heard him wrestling through our metal dry ingredient bins that contained things like flour and sugar.

Sitting on the toilet thinking a thought came in, “oh no, I gave him my purse, and my grandma’s wedding ring was in my purse.” My grandma just gave me her wedding band set earlier that day.

Phone Rang

Then, I suddenly heard the phone ring, this was one of those nights that my boyfriend was going to be late.

Resistant but determined, thinking to myself, “I’m leaving this bathroom”. I slowly opened the bathroom door not knowing what was going to happen next. I looked down and saw the knife on the ground in between the office and the bathroom.

Immediately, I ran out of the bathroom to verify he was gone, I closed the back door of the bakery. I then ran through the bakery making sure he wasn’t there still. I then ran to the phone and called 911.

Gun Fire

As, I was speaking to 911, I heard a gun fire, then, the man we knew from the grocery store ran down to see if i was okay. I told him what happened. I guess the man tried robbing the gas station across the street.

The police showed up and took a report, etc. So, from that point forward I decided to keep a gun close to me, worried he or one of his friends would be by to finish the job.

Tragedy Happens Because of A Knife

Have you had a tragedy take place in your life? Was the incident avoidable? Have you learned something from someone else’s tragedy?

By Bakers Daughters Goods

I'm what you would call a third generation baker. I will walk you through my life as a baker’s daughter. It is my hope to educate you along the way. Living life the only way I know how and that is by helping others. It is time to start thinking outside the box, start from scratch to learn the basics! I was created for overseeing, training and caring for the needs of others. Which means I’m usually very patient, people-centered and willing to spend time in prayer for others. My pleasing personality draws people to me. I have a burden to see others learn and grow and I am protective of those under my care.I have the spirit-given capacity and desire to serve God.

I would love to hear your thoughts
